The Long Way Round – Why Online Education Shortcuts are a Scam and You Should Outsource Education

Let’s take a look at a topic that is hotter than a jalapeno stolen from a restaurant: at paysomeonetodo.com to educate you online. Let’s not spit our coffee or nod our heads in agreement, but rather discuss why this even exists and what it means to us ordinary people trying to learn.

First of all, hiring someone to do your online classes may seem like something from a lazy student’s dream journal. Believe it or not, this is happening. It’s not only the lazy ones; even the achievers get in on the act. Why? It’s because life is like Tetris. Sometimes everything piles up and you just want to find that one straight piece.

The pressure cooker that is modern life can make some people think they have no other option than to hire an academic mercenary. If you have bills piling up or a job consuming your study time, it’s hard to stay on top of everything. It’s tough.

The kicker is that learning is supposed be about… learning. You might get a certificate from someone else, but you’ll only have as much knowledge as the cat of my grandma.

We’ll talk turkey to see why this scenario is worse than eating soup on a spoon. First, it’s like throwing ethics out the door faster than leftovers from last week. School courses are designed to ensure that when you leave (or log out), you have more skills than you had when you began. You’re defeating the purpose if someone else does your legwork.

Do not get me going on what would happen if this became the norm. Imagine visiting a doctor that got his degree by paying for someone else to do the exams. It’s worse to hear nails on the chalkboard than getting goosebumps.

What can we possibly do? Maybe we should stop telling everyone they need to be perfect 24 hours a day. It’s OK to not always have it all figured out. Life isn’t Instagram.

We could also encourage schools to change the way they test students, so we can show what we know without making cheating seem like a good option.

If you are feeling overwhelmed and considering this path, talk to someone. There are many people in schools who would rather you not take shortcuts than risk being bitten later.

The end of the semester (or day) is all about filling your mind with goodies that will help you deal with whatever life throws at you–not just getting A’s.

The next time that you find yourself rushing towards a deadline, or thinking about calling in a substitute academic to help out with the work, remember this: Shortcuts are tempting but what’s more rewarding than learning how to do things properly? The real magic happens there. Just food for thinking.

It’s faster than you can say, “Do Not Disturb.” It’s easier to say “Do Not Disturb” than it is to get an A+.
